Analysis of Cosmic Radiation Exposure for Domestic Flight Crews in Korea

Cosmic radiation exposure of the flight crews in Korea has been managed by Radiation Safety Management around Living Life Act under Nuclear and Security Commission. However, domestic are excluded from because relatively low route dose compared to that international crews. But we found accumulated total annual is far negligible long time too many flights. In this study, suggest necessity management crews’ exposure, statistically analyzed crew’s accumulative using cosmic estimation models Civil Aviation Research Institute (CARI)-6M, Nowcast Atmospheric Ionizing for (NAIRAS), Korean Exposure Assessment Model (KREAM) with in-situ measurements Liulin-6K LET spectrometer. As a result, average was be 0.5–0.8 mSv. We also expect our result might provide basis include as workers, not just attendants.
